Cultivate your Birth

Sundays 2:30-4:30 pm

All expectant parents hope to enjoy a safe, joyful and conscious childbirth experience, but that requires that both mother and father are prepared physically , mentally and emotionally. This is a simple and complete childbirth class where couples will learn techniques and strategies for staying connected with each other and their baby during all stages of labor and birth. Open to all expectant mothers and their support partners regardless of prior yoga experience or if planning on a cesarean. Course will cover the following:
• The importance of pelvic alignment
• Overview of the birth process
• Interventions why and when
• Power of the mind
• The 4th trimester
• Healthy parents Healthy babies
Each class will encompass 60-90 minutes of lecture and discussion and 30-60 minutes of couples yoga and relaxation. Yoga is an excellent way to prepare the mind and body for the many transitions of pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood. In this course couples will learn techniques for deep relaxation & visualization; the key to a more comfortable and easier labor and birth.
Tai-Chi
with Helen Marotta

Tai-chi is a form of slow moving exercise to keep you strong in body and mind. With daily practice you can:
- Improve posture,flexibility and balance
- Sleep more soundly
- Enjoy new levels of energy
- Manage stress and lower blood pressure
Suitable even for a complete novice, tai-chi is available to everyone.
