STUDENT AND TEACHER OF THE MONTH
Teacher of the Month
Yin Yoga, Wednesdays, 4 - 5:15 pm
I spent my childhood in Opava, Czech Republic.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CLASSES?
"Very Yin" , calming, grounding, stretchy and educational.
One of many ways we can choose to respond to our reality.
ANY GREAT YOGA MOMENTS TO SHARE...
Feeling a profound release in some stubbornly stiff tissue after several minutes in a yin pose and post-Savasana bliss when I get up and go about my day after a good practice.
Daryl Dixon, he is really cool with the crossbow. And he is brave, too, how he goes against the walkers. No, really, I don't have any heroes, is that bad?
TEACHERS WHO INSPIRE YOU
My biology teacher in high school is the one who inspired me to pursue molecular biology as my career. Every person who does things I am interested in with grace and success is my inspiration.
It varies, but essentially any pose in which I am able to find sthira (steadiness) and sukha (ease).
Sharing my life with my boyfriend and my dog; hiking, backpacking, backcountry skiing and travelling. Making jewelry, playing piano and painting. Learning about the human body physiology and anatomy, as well as proper nutrition.

I was born in England and grew up in a small town called Barnstaple and then moved to Reno, where I spent 3 years before getting an opportunity to live in Australia and then Colombia, S. America. I found my way back to Reno 8 years ago and I'm happy to call this home for hopefully many more years to come.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START A YOGA PRACTICE?
To find an inner peace and keep my mind and body in harmony
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO CONTINUE YOUR PRACTICE?
To maintain my flexibility and the wonderful tranquil feeling inside me when I finish a class
